Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I was learning the basic fundamentals of being an auditor. This involving comparing financial statements of companies to audited work done by KPMG, checking that there were no misstatements and that the information was correct. A lot of this work would be performed in excel.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given certain tasks to complete that were within my capabilities.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I learnt many skills throughout this internship. I really developed my computer skills, particularly when using excel and also my analytical abilities. I also learnt to build on current knowledge and use initiative where appropriate.

Really nice culture, everyone in the office got on very well and had a couple of socials throughout the process.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
To a certain extent. At times where there was not much work for me to do I could get bored but generally speaking I did enjoy it.
