Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Developing on an internal project using the Blazor framework. Completing tasks assigned on the DevOps board. Reviewing other team members code. Meeting with a variety of people within the company to learn about that part of the business and there duties.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Once my training was completed I was treated like any other dev. I was just working on an internal project so the steaks were lower, but if I had the opportunity to work on customer facing projects i'm sure I would be given the full responsibilities of any dev.

The first 2 weeks of my internship were training and after that I was given lots of support, with people quickly reviewing my code and nearby to answer questions

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The employees are treated amazingly with a strong sense of community, everyone was super welcoming and friendly. Several events were ran including a dinner on my first day, 2 work parties, coffee outings and talks all of which built a lovely atmosphere.

I had a really nice experience, I have looked forward to working on the project everyday , combined with all of the activities ran it has been super fun.

What advice would you give to others applying to Ghyston
It is a super welcoming and supportive company with loads of postive things to be said about it. The interview process has several stages, with coding challenges in each but nothing incredibly difficult.
