Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

During my time at Kings video marketing department I was able to experience how they create their advertisements for their games across platforms and devices. I've had the opportunity to work in After effects and Blender to create 2D animation for these and have been given a range of constructive and helpful feedback to improve both my work and my work practices.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was, and I was so glad I was trusted and had the opportunity to work on the projects that I did!

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I've had the opportunity to work in 3D and use Blender which is something I really wanted to, and have improved my presentation and timekeeping skills too! I was given tips and was able to overview how other team members organised themselves and their work and have taken quite a bit of that advice on.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I've received a huge amount of support and advice throughout my internship! I have multiple people I can talk to if I feel unsure and then the majority of the team members are so friendly and I know they're always around to help if I need it!

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Really lovely! Everyone's super kind, the office is really comfortable and everyone feels encouraged to go and have a chat and relax if they feel like they need to. It feels like people work hard because its rewarding and the passion that people feel towards their work rubs off on you!
