Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Day to day included team meetings (both zoom and in person), training and skills session, client calls (online). Outside of timetabled sessions, expected to perform independent work on testing controls or writing reports, although someone was always able to provide assistance if there was an issue
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
The vacation scheme provided a realistic and in-depth insight into what working at Deloitte was like. This was very useful in deciding on what future career I wanted to do

Improvements were made in tech skills, mostly in excel. Training was provided to improve workplace applicable skills like presentation, time management, and business communication

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
There was a very relaxed atmosphere within the team. I was trusted to manage my own work, but everyone was happy to help, or have a chat. There seemed to be a positive company culture, with the opportunity to interact with people at all levels

The insight was enjoyable. While the level of learning did seem like a lot at first, once it was put into practice it quickly started to make sense

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte
It is not what people might expect from such a large corporate firm. It is very friendly, with relaxed working rules to help you fit around your life outside of work. Working in small teams ensures you really get to know the people you are with
