Audit and Assurance Intern Review

I worked with a team of auditors to deliver high quality financial services. This would involve comparing a companies provided financial draft statements to real numerical results that we, the auditors, had fully tested and concluded ourselves. From here we could make an educated judgement on whether we think the company has been transparent and honest with their finances in a report we would then publish to the company and their shareholders.

Yes, lots. Truly being thrown in the deep end given real work to do was challenging but the best way to learn. I would always have someone I could contact for help also.

I have hugely developed skills in microsoft office products, which have come in crucial when making my job handling lots of data much easier.
I have also become much more familiar with how the office works, and how people communicate efficiently and professionally.

While I was encouraged to take on meaningful work and large responsibilities by myself, I would always have someone on hand I could contact at any point with any questions which has been hugely helpful.

I loved seeing how despite everyone clearly being good friends and joking around with eachother, the atmosphere was still kept strictly professional and always felt productive. It perfectly mixed both the productivity and efficiency of a professional workspace, but without the intimidation of having no friendly faces. I felt very comfortable with the team and everyone was incredibly welcoming whilst also being work oriented and driven.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time, the weeks flew past without me noticing.
