Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
I work as a business consultant, which involves working across various projects. My project was in programme management, where I worked across the integration and data workstreams. Day to day tasks involved putting powerpoints together, doing analysis on power BI and Excel and more general administrative tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes. I was trusted by the team to take ownership of important tasks and deliverables that were escalated up to the client.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Learnt technical skills on excel, PPT and PowerBI. Learnt lots of communication skills through day to day interactions with team members, and observing how others conduct themselves during working sessions and meetings.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received a good level of support and guidance. Managers were especially helpful. However resourcing (who allocate projects) were not hugely responsive which was difficult
