Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Project work is client engagements, and my focus when available - mostly powerpoints or more technical, like PowerBI and UiPath. Whenever I was not on project, I took charge in side-of-desk roles, mostly within the People team. Then, if I still had spare time, I completed learning modules.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given ownership of tasks as I became more confident in my role, and given the chance to take on more if I felt capable

I have learned new technical skills in PowerBI, Alteryx, Python, SQL, Excel, UiPath.

There were many channels of communication, a good support system that checked up on me regularly, so I could choose who I felt comfortable to talk to about both work issues and personal issues

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Welcoming, fairly casual compared to what I expected from a big 4 company. Very supportive and people are always looking out for each other and giving encouraging advice

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed it quite a lot. I would have liked more time on project, but all the training given was useful and I have learned a lot, and being in such a supportive environment really helped me grow professionally. I also liked that there were many interns, grads and apprentices that joined at the same time so others knew what i was going through
