Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

As a project manager, day-to-day my role included things such as running team meetings, checking tasks by other teams have been completed correctly and on time and reporting the status of the project to stakeholders.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I had my own projects to manage throughout my placement giving me my own responsibility.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

I have improved my communication skills and learnt how to organise my workload clearer. During my placement I have a lot learnt new skills on my laptop and improved current skills I had helping to improve my confidence around a laptop.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

My support fluctuated throughout my year, there was times where I had great support around and others where I was left to my own devices. However, at all times I had a point of escalation.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Working in supply chain is a busy and fast paced atmosphere meaning peoples time is valuable. PepsiCo have a great culture however the factories production will always take priority.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have had some great experiences and made some great friends during my placement. There was challenging times throughout the year but overall it has been a good year.
