Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
-Classroom based teaching on finance and investment banking from professional coaches at Echios
- Heard from and networked with professionals from the revisions of Investment Banking, Global markets, Technology and Risk
-Took part in activities such as IPO pitch and Acquisition pitch presentations and the trading game, improving our technical skills as well as our soft skills.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
- I feel like I am fully informed about the different job roles Nomura has to offer and what it is like working in those specific roles due to networking with professionals and being coached.
-It has also broadened my job prospects making me fascinated in areas such as global markets after engaging in activities like the trading game.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
- I have improved on a personal weakness of mine which is my presentation skills by participating in pitches for IPOs and Acquisitions. As well as this the coaching session on effective communication further helped me develop my presentation skills.
- Another skill I've developed is my technical knowledge on investment banking and finance through the coaching sessions and by speaking to professionals. This has well equipped me for future opportunities I may encounter.

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very nice as it was very inclusive and professionals were willing to help. It seemed very different from a typical investment bank and a lot kinder. The culture also puts a huge focus on credibility which I think is fundamental.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed the insight a lot due to the amount of activities we were engaged in and how helpful the professionals were in offering us advice. I feel like the insight strengthened me in my knowledge and paved a good pathway for me to go down career wise.

Ask a lot of questions any opportunity you get to as the professionals there are very helpful and willing to answer. Additionally get involved in all the activities as they are very helpful towards career progression.
