Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

Attended a 4-day Spring Week gaining insights into the various business divisions at UBS (Global Banking, Global Markets, Global Research, Asset Management, Wealth Management, etc.). The day mainly consists of interactive workshops and talks that provided Spring Interns an insight into the business division. In addition, there were many opportunities to ask questions and network with UBS employees.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

At first, it was a little overwhelming. However, I found the UBS Spring Insight to be well-paced, and easy to understand and follow. The speakers and employees were also very helpful and always open to answering questions. By the end, I felt that I had managed to improve my understanding of all the business divisions covered and the potential roles available.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Throughout the 4 days, I have improved my understanding of various business divisions within the financials services industry and developed my ability to network and ask questions. Furthermore, through the interactive AmplifyMe sessions, I have also improved on my understanding of Global Banking and Global Markets.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

UBS company culture was extremely friendly and collaborative. Every single person I met was respectful and open to answering questions. The general atmosphere was very welcoming.
