Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Every day is different! New Product Development Projects enabling the launch of new products to the market. Running and supporting factory trials, nutritional analysis and trends insights. Snacks sample preparation using pilot plant equipment. Cross-functional working with sensory, food safety, food quality, regulatory teams, marketing and commercial teams. You work with a wide range of people across many different functions and countries.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given more responsibility throughout the year at the right times to challenge me and support me meet my objectives

I had a lot of support, I had the same line manager throughout that I was in regular communication and calls with. I also had the support from a buddy, mentor and the wider placement team at PepsiCo. There is also a large number of other students who support each other.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

Yes, I enjoyed my placement as there was a large variety of activities and projects to work on throughout the year working with lots of different teams.
