Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Assisting your project team with day-to-day tasks, such as working on Powerpoints or Excel spreadsheets. Also chances to present to the team and get involved with team meetings.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Definitely. You are given tasks that the full-time consultants would otherwise be doing. You are also trusted to sit in calls/meetings with clients. Presentations in front of your project team are also expected of some interns.

Each intern is given a Buddy and a People Lead. This ensures you have a good support network around you if you have any issues. My People Lead and Buddy provided excellent guidance and support throughout the program.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture in my team at Deloitte was great. Everyone was cheerful and supportive of each other, and always willing to have a chat with you/meet for coffee to make you feel included or offer support or guidance.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my time at Deloitte. My fellow colleagues and interns were really friendly, socials were enjoyable and the work was interesting at times.
