Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Deloitte have a fantastically structured SVS programme which allows full immersion into daily operations within your team. From senior partners to junior analysts you get the chance to work alongside and gain valuable insight across all levels of the hierarchy. From day one you are given meaningful tasks and plenty of help and assistance when needed.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot more responsibility than I expected. This was thoroughly enjoyable and meant I got to work on real world client cases throughout my time at the firm.

Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
Being given responsibility from day one means it requires you to adapt and refine the unique skills needed in the workplace. Communication was key with both clients and fellow colleagues. Problem solving is essential as you work collaboratively to solve clients unique problems.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
There was lots of centrally provided help that you could access at any time. Senior leadership also took a proactive approach with plenty casual conversations to ensure you were settled in.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture is very driven for success whilst also being super supportive of everyones individual needs and requirements. There's a strong sense of teamwork and everyone is very much focused on working towards goals and objectives which is a really inspiring environment to be involved in.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
The internship was everything I hoped it would be and more. I felt empowered and valued in the short time I was there and I am looking forward to returning as a graduate in the future!

Deloitte is a service industry so their people are their product. So make sure that you are true to yourself throughout the whole process as they are looking for strong personalities and people that they would enjoy having on the team.
