Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The insight week was a 2 full day program where you learn about the firm, what Deloitte was about and you meet people from different service lines to help you understand what you're best suited for in the future. The workshops conducted was also aimed at helping you find your personal strengths and weakness to craft an interest in the firm that best suits your particular skillset and personal brand!
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I got a better grasp for what consulting was beyond just the very general vague term 'consulting' there are so many different forms of it like Business Transformation, Tech, The Monitor Deloitte arm which is like strategy consulting and so much more! It helped me to have a head-start in crafting my career path whilst i'm just midway through university!

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
I learnt a lot about myself, how to manage my own expectations using strengths and weaknesses, Deloitte's brand philosophy ie. Being inclusive and emphasis on personal growth and development. I also got to meet many inspiring Women that made it to partner level which inspired me to do more, work harder and overall succeed as well. The intermediate networking sessions helped me to get a better idea at what each service line was.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The culture was great, i loved the vibe of everyone, people were all so kind and friendly. They made me feel like they were genuinely there to help expose us to the corporate environment given the fact that they were in our position once before. I really enjoyed the experience!

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I would do it again in a heartbeat! I really loved the experience from the start to the end (during the fast tracked interview) It was fantastic! Even though i was slightly daunted at first, it turned out comfortable and fun!

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Deloitte
Just be yourself and put your most authentic front on. Don't fake someone you're not because that can be seen through, authenticity is a feeling! At the end of the day, a job match is like dating! You want to find one that sticks and you can keep/grow with long term! Brand identity building is key! (Kinda like building on personal development or improving yourself when looking like a life partner).
