Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Basic audit testing and carrying out audit procedures. Mainly working in excel or using word to write memos.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given quite a lot of responsibility. I was given large amounts of testing to be in charge of as well as leading many client calls by myself.

I have learnt basic accounting skills, having never done this before. I have also developed my interpersonal skills and client based skill such as building rapport.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed working for Deloitte due to the caring and fun work team. I wasn’t a massive fan of the work I was doing but the team helped me to stay motivated and keep working.
