Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Virtual spring week with deloitte. Worked on various group projects including offering deal advisory services to a mock start-up; listened and talked to employees from various service lines; heard from speakers; gave final group presentation.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Informative. Being a professional services firm, it was really useful to hear from all sorts of service lines, ranging from corporate finance to consulting. Thus, although I applied with an accounting focus, I developed interests in careers I hadn't even considered.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Really friendly and welcoming culture, and considering it was held online the atmosphere was pretty impressive. I had no fear of asking a silly question, or speaking full stop, as everyone seemed very inviting.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed it a lot. One big drawback was being online; I would have liked to see a Deloitte office and meet fellow students in person. However, the tasks we did and insights we gained were very good.

Don't worry if you don't have any work experience in the fields you are applying to. They want evidence that you fit the firm's culture, are adaptable, and want to learn, and you can prove those things through participation in societies etc.
