Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I have been working on tasks related to payments handling. Collaborated with global teams while completing several projects aiming for processes improvement and automation. Took part in a number of firm-wide events dedicated for summer interns to get to know GS culture and increase wider knowledge about the company.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I have been working on all of my projects independently with great responsibility and have been trusted while simultaneously deeply supported by my managers and collegues.

My training that I have received form the team at the beginning was very thorough and informative and thus was extremely helpful. Throughout the duration of my internship, I have always been supported by my colleagues, I could always ask them all the questions and always received an in-depth response.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The atmosphere at the office was fantastic. From day one, I was happy to be coming to work, felt comfortable and was treated as part of my team. The wider culture of the company was very welcoming, open and encouraging. I always felt like I can talk to people, ask for advice etc.
