Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
A lot of my daily tasks are based on undertaking market analysis and maintaining client relationships. As an example of a long term project; during my internship I provided market research regarding the real estate lending environment in Europe.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
At times i was the only junior member of the team on the desk and I was given a lot of responsibility, taking the lead on a lot of critical tasks in the closing stage of deals.

Developed interpersonal and networking teams through participation in employee resource networks, coffee chats and firm-wide events. I have built technical knowledge regarding the real estate industry and different lending facilities.

There was a lot of support from early careers/HR staff, with weekly training sessions. My line manager and team members were all very helpful and provided guidance when I had any queries.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship, gaining this exposure built my technical knowledge and understanding of the finance industry immensely. Throughout the ten weeks I made meaningful connections with senior professionals, engaged in insightful panels and had the opportunity to contribute to various diversity initiatives through volunteering.
