Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role involved financial and cashflow analysis, real estate market analysis, preparation of deal summary memorandums, running internal models to assess transaction profitability, participation in site visits of existing and potential new opportunities, attend client meetings and work on an individual research project.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
One of the things I enjoyed most about this internship was the responsibility and exposure I got as a summer intern. The team has closely involved me in every part of the deal process and I had the opportunity to work with both the Irish and the London team on very important deals and projects

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
This internship has been an amazing experience which developed both my soft and technical skills. Working on financial models and investment memorandums has developed my financial knowledge, market awareness and modelling skills, while the development sessions organized by the HR team and daily tasks such as delivering presentations and attending client meetings developed my confidence, communication, presentation and networking skills.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
During my internship I have received a lot of support from the commercial real estate team through weekly training and feedback sessions. The HR team has also hugely supported interns by organizing weekly soft skills development sessions as well as networking sessions with senior professionals in the firm.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was very supportive and collaborative. Everyone in the firm was willing to give their time to help interns develop and feel integrated in the company.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I have really enjoyed my internship in the commercial real estate team. Everyone in my team and the wider firm was very supportive and collaborative. The exposure and responsibilities I got as a summer intern, the training provided and the networking opportunities with senior members in the firm have really developed my skills and confidence.
