Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

- Manage special projects on behalf of the ICOO
- Take care of offshoring activities to Philippines/India.
- Development of an Intelligent Automation capability for International (deployment of RPAs*, workflow tools and data visualization tools to automate manual processes and reduce operational risk).
*Robotic Process Automation (RPAs)
Oversight of the strategic programme to ‘Redefine International’, to align the International Organization to enable the execution of the business strategy.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was given a fair bit of responsibility as I was tasked with creating a slide deck about the whole international chief operating office. I created an ICOO presentation deck by conducting research and connecting with several business units inside the organisation,
I was part of some projects about offshoring and gained exposure to the Automation processes.

My line manager was really helpful with the projects I was set and in general helped me gain exposure to other LOB across Wells Fargo.
I was provided regular feedback so I knew what I had to improve on each week.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

There is easier access to senior members across the business and generally everyone is really friendly and open to having a chat.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed my internship and would recommend it to anyone interested in financial services.
However, I wish that there were rotations across the business division.
