My role involves developing tools to support investment professionals in the trade decision making process. I also look at market updates and key incoming macroeconomic events.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Definitely, I ended up developing trade support tools which were actually used on a regular basis by professional traders.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I received valuable guidance and support from my managers at all times during my internship programme to make sure my development was as steady as possible. I also had weekly feedback meetings to track my progress and discuss potential improvements.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture was amazing, a very close working atmosphere which you don't usually find in large banking entities. This was a decisive factor in growing my working confidence during the experience.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I couldn't have chosen a better organisation to do my internship at, with so much development potential and a greatly managed summer programme. I would definitely recommend the internship to potential future candidates.
