Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

Some days are spent in the pilot plant carrying out or supporting ongoing testing. Some days are spent researching and coming up with new solutions to problems within my projects within an office environment. I also travel to the Netherlands to meet with my team and factory managers from global locations.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, within a month of starting I was a project lead within my own project and was able to operate equipment required for my role confidently.

Support and Guidance

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I had a line manager who I met with bi-weekly (he was also available whenever I needed) to support me and ask what JDE could do to improve/ support me. The office is also a supportive environment, with anyone willing to help support trials/ any questions I had.
