Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

I did a lot of sample ticking for different workbooks, I got involved with bi-weekly catch up meetings with the team about how the project is going and what’s next

I would say I was given a fair bit of responsibility like signing things off and completing lead sheets

I was given a lot of support from the start, as I don’t come from accounting background. I received a lot of support in where to finds things and who to message if I had any problems.

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

It was really relaxed and laid back, didn’t have to dress formal every day, only days you were going to clients. Everyone in the office were pretty much chill and open for a coffee and a chat

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I enjoyed it a lot, got to understand more what audit is about and what it entails. I got to meet a lot of different people from different backgrounds so that was nice. I received lots support in helping me figure out what I wanted out of this internship
