Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

We had talks from various members of staff in the audit, advisory and tax sectors, who gave us an insight into their day to day job roles and what they like about the company itself. We also had sessions giving us career hints and tips, as well as help in creating our own personal brand. Lastly we completed a group CSR project, whereby we had to work together to decide if a company was investible.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

I found it incredibly helpful as I am unsure what area of the business sector I would enjoy the most, and this helped me understand what each role would really involve.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed my teamwork skills through working on the CSR project whereby our group had to work together to weigh up pros and cons and come to a final decision. I have also learnt some new skills, and this includes having a good commercial awareness. I also now understand the importance of having a good, and unique, personal brand.

Company Culture

How would you rate business leader involvement during the insight

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I found the company culture great and made the company seem like a very appealing place to work. The people were very welcoming and friendly and always happy to answer your questions. The way the staff talk about the company, it seems like it is a company that cares about its employees and wants to see them succeed. It is also very diverse and inclusive.
