Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Completing a range of different research tasks and administrative tasks, such as Companies House searches. Working on 2 group projects during quieter times.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
There were multiple "service-line updates", which entailed meeting the different teams within KPMG Law and listening to their obligations and reflections of their roles.
Both projects aided me in understanding what the business may say to potential clients to onboard them.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture at KPMG is absolutely unmatched. The team that I had the opportunity to work with was so welcoming and explained their needs in detail. No-one was ever too busy for me.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
This insight could not have been better. I enjoyed every day, working with different members of the team as an when they required assistance. The feedback that I received was very helpful too.
Everyone in this office enjoys working for KPMG and that was obvious from the beginning. I am so lucky to have been able to spend my first month of summer with this amazing team.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to KPMG
Be yourself, KPMG are a "people" company. Qualifications and skills can always be developed, it is you that matters. This is exactly what differentiates KPMG from their competition. I was amazed at the amount of people who have re-joined because they couldn't replicate this culture elsewhere, or moved from competition to find that this was what they wanted.
