Overview of Experience

Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.

The first week was training but very quickly you are trusted to work on engagements with clients and have responsibility to prepare work papers. There is clear oversight and checking to ensure your work is okay but enough independence for you to grow and learn.

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?

There was a clear understanding of the business given and a career progression explained.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

There is a really big emphasis on pushing yourself and although you might not know everything they are very willing to help and try to support you out of your comfort zone. They encourage you to talk to managers and partners in order to grow more comfortable speaking socially.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

I couldn't ask for a nicer office, they provided such supportive from day one and they were always willing to make time for me and never make me feel like a burden. They invest in their people to make sure everyone there is social and kind.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

I have enjoyed every day of it, from the work to the atmosphere I think it was far better than I expected and I would recommend KPMG to anyone because of the social side and the reflection they provide.
