Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

In this role I have had the opportunity to gain work experience in audit. On a day-to-day basis I experience amazing mentoring as well as a wide range of tasks allocated in order to grow my skills and knowledge in the profession.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, I was given a lot of responsibility and was able to help out with on-going audits whilst receiving amazing mentoring and support.

I have improved my communication skills, time management, and critical thinking.
I have also gained many skills which are required in an auditors role, and have experienced what it is like to work in a big team.

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

I received a lot of support and guidance throughout this programme. I had the amazing opportunity to have 2 mentors which was extremely helpful in receiving help and advice. I also got a lot of support in the work I was completing, as well as guidance despite it being a busy time.

Overall Experience

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I really enjoyed this internship as I came out of it with a lot of new skills and experiences behind me. I have also now got a better idea about my future opportunities and what I want to do once I leave university.
