On a day-to-day basis, I work alongside the 'buddy' that I was assigned including any client projects they are on and work they are completing. I also shadowed a partner within my service line and get to connect with analysts and consultants across national offices who also help to get me involved in project work e.g completing due diligence for clients and conflict checks.

Yes, I was trusted to complete a variety of different tasks which were used in the final completed reports sent out to clients, although everything was check multiple times by many colleagues, I still had the responsibility to present my findings and add them into the relevant documents.

Yes, I have learnt how to better organise my time, approach clients professionally, how to communicate effectively and ask clear and specific questions.

I was assigned a buddy who had started on the Grad scheme a couple of years ago who was very friendly and helpful with pretty much anything I needed. I was also assigned a People Leader who was slightly higher up and worked as an Associate Director who would also support me and catch up with me on a weekly basis. I also received support from many others working in the same service line.

It is a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere which is one of the things I admired and enjoyed most about my time as an intern at Deloitte. They often host socials and events where everyone gets together and gives the chance to develop good relationships with colleagues which helps everyone to become a close team. Even within the work place the culture is very inclusive!

I very much enjoyed my placement and if offered a place on the Grad Scheme I would quite confidently accept the offer. I have met a lot of new people both within and outside of my office, I have gained a god understanding of the service line I worked in and have thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Deloitte is a people's business, they care and invest in their staff.
