Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

My role as an intern involves meetings, powerpoint and Excel work, networking opportunities with Deloitte colleagues as well as other interns and learning about the area of consulting that I am working in.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

I was allocated tasks for my project but nothing too stressful. Especially as we are only interns so there is a limit on how much responsibility we can place on ourselves with limited subject knowledge.

I have improved my communication and confidence through meeting loads of new people and being involved in many meetings. I have also developed my problem-solving skills as well as my Powerpoint and Excel skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

Deloitte had such a lovely company culture and atmosphere - people are very willing to schedule a coffee chat with you and if you are struggling with something, there are people that you can reach out too.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship! From the support to the socials, I have learnt so much and has given me very valuable experience in consulting.
