Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

The role includes helping on client projects within risk advisory, helping to research, format information and present information in a way that is tailored to the client. Projects include assessing the risks for a client and helping to mitigate these through crisis preparedness and business continuity.

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

Yes, although obviously I was not given tasks directly from the client, I feel my work has been meaningful and not just sitting back and watching.

I feel my skills have developed through the support they have given, the internship is structured and it feels like people really care about your development, I have gained confidence and also professional skills such as using excel and powerpoint more efficiently

Everyone is really friendly and willing to help, and Deloitte put on a lot of events for interns to meet eachother and also develop their skills and career aspirations

Company Culture

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

The culture is really nice and a lot less intimidating than I thought, people encourage a work life balance and do not expect you to sacrifice personal time for work
