Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was an IT Audit and my day consisted of completing work papers with information provided from clients and reporting any unusual occurrences. Another aspect of my work was having meeting with clients and recording the minutes and writing notes.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of work and responsibility. This is a result of my constant pursuit of work though, and was not forced by the company.

During my time here I developed my soft skills by constantly communicating with colleagues and clients. On the technical aspect, I refined my Excel and Word skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
To my surprise, the atmosphere was formal but very friendly. This is something I didn't expect from Deloitte as I knew that they were professional but I didn't know that they pay attention to the quality of life at work.

My advice would be to prepare well for the interview and assessment stages and also work on their soft skills as they are a key component of a person who works at Deloitte.
