Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was that of an intern. On a day to day basis, i had to go to the office where there were different inductions and meet and greets planned for me in my calendar. They provided as much exposure as they could by teaching us how to audit the documents, mine was tech risk therefore it was service line specific.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes , we had a buddy each to help us closely. We were put in different client teams where they made us understand the various documents needed and how to process them and gave us the responsibility of doing it, it was ofcourse reviewed later.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I have learned multitasking and time management well because the client work is chargeable so you can't take more than a required time frame. I also had various learning about topics and policies of the company and I became better using Excel as most of the work was on it.

Support and Guidance
How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
The support we received was the best part of the internship. I had always known the culture of EY is what makes it stand out but i got to witness it once I got there. The entire team made us feel welcomed and helped us along the way. Our buddy's who were our informal point of contact went out of their way to help.

The culture was welcoming, we met the entire tech risk ,Manchester team from the senior most people who gave us respect and listened to us.

What advice would you give to others applying to EY
I would advise you to apply naturally and unprepared and give honest answers during the interviews as I feel that gives a better shot at this internship and take it as it comes.
