Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
My role was an assurance summer intern. I would attend regular team catch up calls and be coached through tasks, upon task completion I would obtain feedback that I could use to improve my work but also develop any future work. I would also have to speak to clients to obtain information that helps to develop ones professionalism and improve how to go about client engagement.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, I was given work that would directly have influence in the audit process, so from the very first task upon completion of the induction I was given hands on important work. I did get constant support and guidance though that allows you to undertake the task confidently so the output is correct and of good quality.
