Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
09:00 Official start time.
Throughout the day you are given projects to help others in your team.
I found these are quite diverse and well thought out - I got to try a bit of everything.
Depending on which department you are in you go on site visits. Even though no one in my department went on a site visit whilst I was there they made sure I got to join a different team to go.
People normally leave at 5:30/6:00

Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
About the right amount for an internship. I was given responsibility but not pressure which allowed me to take my time when completing projects which allowed me to fully understand the process behind them.

- Developed skills in Excel.
- Used teams which is not something I had used before in great detail.
- Learnt how research is different when researching for a company / client in comparison to university.

A lot, everyone was willing to help and support if asked, and my line manager was checked up on me and my work load most days.
The international internship program also offered talks and Q&As.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The company culture and general atmosphere was really good.
All of my team were incredibly welcoming to me, encouraging me to join after work drinks and other social activities.
As a wider company everyone I met was lovely and the Early Careers Team was very helpful if we had any questions.

What advice would you give to others applying to Cushman & Wakefield
- Make sure in your interview you show you are personable and would work well on a team. This is something C&W place great emphasis on.
- Research the field of Real Estate, make sure you know about the market (key buildings, stake holders, competitors etc.).
- Look at all the internship areas they offer, C&W is a large company that benefits from having a wide range of departments in which they offer internships.
