Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Supporting the Reg Reporting team with areas such as month and quarter end reviews, working with analysis of Leverage and Own Funds, looking after returns due to be submitted to the regulator and any additional ad-hoc tasks.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given a huge amount of responsibility being able to work independently on many different tasks as well as being able to pick up new tasks throughout the year.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
My excel skills have been massively developed this year and I have started using new platforms such as BOXI (similar to excel). My analysis skills have improved from doing things such as analysis of month on month movements. I have also developed my presentation skills from having the opportunity to present to senior management on a regular basis.

The culture here has been excellent. Everyone is extremely personable and willing to help. The social side of the firm as well has made it a very enjoyable place to work.

I enjoyed my placement a huge amount. I was never expecting it to be anything like it was but I have massively enjoyed it.
