Tomorrow's Talent Program Review

The program kicks off at noon with a registration, after that we would jump in to our first session, which could be an overview of a specific division (Global Banking/Markets etc), with a Case Study hosted by the panel. After this, we would typically have a more sessions throughout the day from a vast range of speakers, with the opportunity to have all of our burning questions answered at the end of each session.

I was impressed with the range of divisions we were able to hear from, which myself and other found incredibly eye-opening. Due to the friendly and open nature of each sessions it was great to get our questions regarding the business areas answered, which was beneficial in consolidating our understanding. Through this, we quickly became aware of the roles available through enthusiastic speakers who actively promoted their divisions, making me consider divisions I had never before considered.

Due to the wide range of speakers from different parts of the bank, and with all the new peers we meet on the program, networking skills quickly became very important, and consequently this program helps build these skills.
Additionally on the final day of the program we undertook an interview skills and networking workshop, which was incredibly insightful in learning how to make the most out of an interview situation.

It very quickly became clear how the company culture was reflected through each speaker we heard from. Each sessions we undertook had a very friendly and open atmosphere, which was very important as the sessions became very interactive towards the end.
In addition to this, many of the employees were promoting the activities UBS hosted outside the office, such as volunteering activities and initiatives, and hearing employees talk highly of this was very promising.

For me, the insight program far exceeded my prior expectations. It was an incredibly enjoyable and valuable program, due to the interactive aspect of each sessions, where we were all able to quiz the speakers on what they have been talking about.
It was also great to meet our peers and work alongside them in a more informal environment during the evening social, in which we had a quiz to complete in small teams of 6.
