We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.
How will I develop?
We want our people to have worldclass practical experience coupled with the technical rigour and knowledge that comes from the right professional qualification.
We think the best experience is being immersed in client work, working alongside other team members, and learning the practical skills that will set you up for a successful career. That will be the initial focus whether you are a Graduate, an Industrial Placement, or a BrightStart, supported by internal training and support from coaches, people leaders, and your team.
We think this is vital and will set you up for success when we further support your development with a professional qualification, recognising that different roles across our business align to different pathways. These may include options such as joint or accelerated programmes leading to qualifications like Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT), Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) or Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), as well as other more specialist routes focused on tax or technical expertise.
