What does this team do?

Our team within Tax Transformation & Technology help our clients through the complicated world of Tax. From making sure companies use emerging technologies better to helping them take new ideas to market, we keep them on top of rapidly changing tax requirements.

Our teams include:

Tax Transformation Consulting: Global clients turn to us when they need to better manage their tax risk and maximise efficiencies in meeting their tax obligations. We help with the technology to tackle data challenges and digital requirements, as well as managing transformation.

Indirect Tax Digital Transformation: We help businesses assess their indirect tax technology needs; implementing indirect tax technology systems, data solutions and process improvements, to assist in meeting the challenges of indirect tax compliance, in a rapidly changing global landscape.

Investment Management Reporting (IMR): We support clients with tax advice, information reporting and business change. We work with many different financial institutions, including private equity houses, pension funds, and banks.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

  • You’ll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2027 for the Autumn 2027 intake.
  • We have identified 10 core skills that are essential to all our roles in Early Careers. To learn more about these skills and their detailed descriptions, please visit the 'Discover What We Look For' section in our Candidate Zone.

What kind of work will I do?

  • We work with a diverse range of clients, technology providers and tax authorities, across a range of industry sectors. From the largest multinational businesses to smaller enterprises with ambitious plans for growth.
  • Join our Graduate programme in Tax Transformation & Technology and you’ll get to work on data analysis, use automation to improve compliance and reporting, manage global indirect tax operations, and prepare companies for a digital tax reporting future.
  • Alternatively, you may help develop new, cutting-edge concepts or support businesses with compliance reviews, payroll delivery and project management.
  • Many of our teams work with clients overseas, using multi-country technology solutions.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you’re in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.

How will I develop?

We want our people to have worldclass practical experience coupled with the technical rigour and knowledge that comes from the right professional qualification.

We think the best experience is being immersed in client work, working alongside other team members, and learning the practical skills that will set you up for a successful career. That will be the initial focus whether you are a Graduate, an Industrial Placement, or a BrightStart, supported by internal training and support from coaches, people leaders, and your team.

We think this is vital and will set you up for success when we further support your development with a professional qualification, recognising that different roles across our business align to different pathways. These may include options such as joint or accelerated programmes leading to qualifications like ATT – Association of Taxation Technicians, ACA – Associate Chartered Accountant, ICAS – Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, or CTA – Chartered Tax Adviser, as well as other more specialist routes focused on tax or technical expertise.
