This role is based in either Telford or Hove, and you’ll typically be in the office up to 3 days a week, so you’ll need to be within commuting distance of your chosen location. What you will bring

Data Engineer:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related STEM discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Experience working with SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Programming ability in Python, R, or Java
  • Understanding of data modelling, ETL processes, or data pipelines (desirable)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing principles
  • Academic, personal, or internship projects involving data analysis or insights

Software Engineer:

  • Degree in Computer Science or related a STEM discipline
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, C++, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
  • Experience with modern frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Spring Boot, Django)
  • Knowledge of full-stack development concepts (e.g. MEAN/MERN)
  • Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development
  • Awareness of CI/CD tools (e.g. Docker, Jenkins) and DevOps practices
  • Understanding of software testing, debugging, and SDLC
  • Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms
  • Projects or internships showcasing software development skills
