Let’s learn about the history of accounting and finance, how we use it day to day and what challenges and emerging ideas are facing the profession.

An Introduction to AAT

Who is AAT? What place does it hold within the accounting and finance industry, and what qualifications and courses does it offer to budding finance professionals? In this module, we’ll cover how to become an AAT member, what study resources and tools AAT offers, and hear from the experts themselves in the first Springpod Session.

The World of Accounting

What is accounting? What key principles should you know, and what opportunities are available in this exciting career? Meet the accountants in a lively Springpod Session, and brush up on your knowledge with an activity before rounding off with a quiz.

The World of Bookkeeping

What is bookkeeping? What ideas govern the bookkeeping world, and what rewarding careers are on offer within it? Meet the bookkeepers in this third Springpod Session, test your knowledge with an activity and recap what you’ve learned with a short quiz.

Career Pathways and Progression

In this module, we’ll cover the early career options available in accounting and bookkeeping, the benefits of apprenticeships and how to secure a competitive position. You’ll hear tips and tricks from the professionals in this last Springpod Session, too!

Employability Skills

What are employability skills and why do we need them? In this soft skills module, we’ll explore why leadership, teamwork and communication are so necessary in the finance world, before helping you ace your CV.
