Job Description

Join ‘Team Tax’: straight-talking, collaborative and built for people who want to make an impact from day one. This is a place to learn fast, contribute early and keep moving forward.

Tax is changing fast. From AI and global regulation to sustainability, private wealth and international growth, the decisions our clients make today have real consequences. That means the work you'll do here actually matters. On our tax technology graduate programme, you’ll get close to those decisions from the start.

You won’t do it alone.

In Team Tax, collaboration is just how we work. You’ll learn from people who’ve been where you are – and who get the reality of balancing client work, study and exams. They’ll help you to build confidence, ask questions and deliver your best.

Using software, data and AI to modernise how tax is calculated, reported and filed. You’ll sit within our national tax technology team, supporting our tax teams to service our clients better through digital tools and solutions.

In your role you will:

  • Join a community of people starting their own digital journeys across audit, tax, consulting and national technology.
  • Gain access to our digital learning hub, and work with tools including Alteryx, Power BI and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Develop the skills to use AI confidently, responsibly and ethically in your day-to-day work.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for graduates who are curious, motivated and ready to get involved, with a keen interest in all things digital. You don’t need to have studied tax before, we’ll give you the training, support and experience to build your career from day one.

To be considered, you’ll need:

  • An obtained or predicted honours degree.
  • A minimum of 112 UCAS points across 3 A levels (or equivalent level 3 qualification), 104 UCAS points across four Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, or an Irish Leaving Certificate (higher level).
  • An existing, permanent right to live and work in the UK.
  • A willingness to travel to client sites and other offices as required.
  • RSM doesn’t accept General Studies, AS levels or the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Your start date will be 14 September 2027. Start dates are mandatory – the training you receive from day one is designed to give you the best possible start to your career with us.

What we can offer you

You’ll get structured training, professional qualifications and real client experience in a team where every voice is heard. You’ll be supported to grow your technical knowledge, build commercial confidence and shape a career that feels like your own.

  • Tax technology roles have their own qualification pathway, including the ATT Foundations and Diploma in Tax Technology (DITT) plus access to further certifications that match your career ambitions in tech, data, and tax innovation.
  • Grow with the technology and your team. You’ll be supported with ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities that evolve with the fast-changing digital landscape.
  • Learn through a mix of client work, structured training including paid study leave, time at college, mentoring and internal development programmes.
  • Access lifestyle, health and wellbeing benefits, including financial wellbeing support, that you can tailor to your needs.

That's why we're working together to ensure our firm's principles and processes support a firm culture that embraces difference and strengthens inclusion.
