About the role

As a Graduate Data Scientist, you'll join our IT Data Function, working within a growing team that delivers data, analytics and AI solutions to support the design, delivery and management of essential infrastructure projects. Working alongside experienced data professionals and business stakeholders, you'll explore operational and project data, develop analytical solutions and communicate insights that support better decision-making. You'll gain hands-on experience across the data science lifecycle, from data preparation and exploration through to modelling, visualisation and AI-enabled solutions, while benefiting from structured development, mentoring and opportunities to build your technical and professional skills.

What you’ll do

  • Work as part of the IT Data Function, supporting data, analytics and AI initiatives that drive business improvement and innovation.
  • Support the development, testing and deployment of statistical, machine learning and AI models to solve real business problems.
  • Create data visualisations, dashboards and reports that clearly communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts and business teams to deliver data-driven solutions while developing expertise in modern data and AI technologies.

What you’ll need

  • Excellent IT skills and a desire to learn about new technologies and how we can implement them to improve the way we work.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle numerous projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.

Applicable Degree Areas

  • Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant course.
