About the programme
On the Accountancy & Finance Graduate Programme, you’ll gain practical experience across governance, planning, audit, and reporting, building the expertise to assess risk and support long-term financial resilience. The scheme is designed to develop your core skills in judgement, engagement, self-management, and delivery, while deepening your knowledge through analysis and research.
Your first two rotations will be selected to help you build a strong foundation in financial services, your career goals and interests will be considered when your final rotation is selected, aiming to support your aspirations and the FCA’s strategy. Throughout the programme, you’ll have the opportunity to apply economic thinking and provide valuable advice to help FCA functions deliver on their strategic objectives.
For those interested in accountancy, the programme offers hands-on experience in financial audit, internal controls, reporting, and governance. You’ll strengthen your understanding of accounting principles, regulatory frameworks, and risk assessment, preparing you for a successful career in the accountancy and finance professions.

Application Process
- Only one application is accepted across our early careers programmes within any six-month period.
- You must have obtained or be on track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree from any university.
- Applicants for the 2027 graduate programme must have graduated or be in their final year of study.
- Graduate scheme offers are subject to candidates independently obtaining and maintaining permission to work in the UK for the duration of the programme.
- Your application and any work you submit throughout the recruitment process must be your own. Do not allow another person to complete any part of the assessment or submit responses generated by an AI assistant or similar software.
