About the role:

You will become an integral part of our Global Service Desk, supporting our UK offices with hardware-related requests, equipment builds, walk-up support, laptop deployments, hardware disposals and other first-line IT tasks. Alongside gaining practical workplace experience, you will complete an 18-month structured Cloud Support Specialist apprenticeship, developing the technical and professional skills needed to become well-rounded IT Support Engineers. As you progress, we will consider granting you the required permissions to complete more in-depth technical work, but this would be based on skill, experience, knowledge, and operational requirements.

Required skills:

  • A genuine passion for technology and a desire to build a long-term career in IT.
  • Good general IT literacy and confidence using Windows, Microsoft 365 and everyday technology.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow documented processes accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a willingness to provide exceptional service.
  • Professional, approachable and confident interacting with colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn, ask questions and accept feedback.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrates accountability, reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Comfortable performing practical hands-on tasks such as laptop builds, hardware deployments, equipment collections and hardware disposals.
  • Able to follow security, health & safety and data handling procedures when working with IT equipment.
  • Willingness to travel between local office sites when required.

We're looking for individuals who are:

  • Curious and naturally inquisitive.
  • Enthusiastic about learning new technologies.
  • Calm under pressure.
  • Resilient and adaptable.
  • Friendly and approachable.
  • Proactive and willing to take initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a busy, constantly changing environment.
  • Proud of delivering high-quality work.

Additionally, the following experience would be beneficial:

  • Previous experience in a customer service, retail, hospitality or support role.
  • Personal interest in technology through hobbies, home labs, gaming, building PCs or self-study.
  • Exposure to basic IT concepts such as networking, Windows troubleshooting or Microsoft 365.
  • Any IT-related qualifications (GCSE/A-Level Computer Science, CompTIA ITF+, Google IT Support, etc.).
  • Awareness of cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 9am - 5pm

Benefits:

  • Pension
  • Global private medical insurance
  • Leisure travel insurance
  • Health screening
  • Mental health support through a confidential support service
  • Employee assistance programme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Give as you earn
  • Season ticket loan
  • Discretionary bonus

Future prospects:
