About the role:

We’re seeking an IT Support Apprentice professional to join our global Technology & Digital Services (TDS) Operations team, responsible for delivering first and second-line IT support, maintaining digital equipment, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of business-critical systems. This role is key to minimising disruption through effective troubleshooting and maintenance, while building hands-on technical experience and contributing to overall operational efficiency and user satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and triage ITMS tickets (FreshService or Freshdesk)
  • Provide first and second line technical support to staff locally and internationally
  • Escalate issues appropriately to senior IT Support personnel
  • Support inbound call flow and manage ticket documentation
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Configure and remotely set up laptops for new starters or replacements
  • Support access rights, user account setup, and basic identity management
  • Maintain office IT equipment (laptops, peripherals, mobile devices)
  • Assist with routine hardware and software upgrades
  • Perform basic troubleshooting across Windows, M365 and endpoint applications
  • Support telephony systems, door access, and basic networking tasks (WAN/LAN/Wi Fi)
  • Maintain hardware and software inventory records using Freshservice or similar Service Management (ITSM) tools
  • Support ordering, procurement, and account administration tasks
  • Assist with general system maintenance and ensuring IT policies are followed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) in English and/or other European languages
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks
  • Intellectual curiosity and eagerness to learn
  • IT literacy, including intermediate-level Excel
  • Delivery focus with the ability to work at pace and deliver quality outputs
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for the company’s mission to generate a more sustainable future
  • IT qualifications preferred but not essential
  • Some previous experience in an office or IT support role (desirable)

Entry requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
  • You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
  • If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week

Benefits:

  • A busy role in a supportive team, with plenty of opportunities to learn
  • International scope – we operate in over 8 countries
  • Hybrid working – we will need you in the central London (Mayfair) office at least twice a week, but you will normally be able to work remotely for the remainder of the week
  • 30 days’ holiday per year (3 of which are taken during the festive shutdown in December)
  • Private pension
  • BUPA Healthcare for you and qualifying dependents
  • Cycle to work and electric vehicle leasing schemes
  • Annual discretionary bonus.

Future prospects:

  • 90% of QA apprentices secure permanent employment after completing: this is 20% higher than the national average.
