Job Description

Who we are

At Fidelity International, we’ve been helping clients plan and invest for their futures for over 50 years. From more than 25 locations around the world, we provide investment services and retirement expertise to everyone from central banks to private individuals. We’re known for acting with integrity and thinking for the long-term. And across our organisation, we foster a welcoming, caring and inclusive culture where people feel respected, trusted and able to be themselves.

Feel Curious

We’d like to invite students from any degree / discipline to pre-register your interest in our 2027 Early Careers 10-week Summer Internship Programmes. The exact summer internship opportunities available vary each year, and 2027 programmes will be confirmed in early Autumn 2026. Previous programmes offered have included Equity Research, Fixed Income, Multi Asset, Investment Directing, Sustainable Investing, and Sales and Marketing.

When registering your interest, you won't need to specify which programme you prefer. Ahead of applications opening, you can spend time exploring our opportunities through our Career Matching Tool from our website or exploring our Investment Management Virtual Experience Programme.

How do I Pre-Register?

Click on the Register Your Interest button, and we will then be in touch as soon as we open applications for our 2027 Early Careers opportunities. This will put you on the front foot to submit early!

To be eligible for a summer internship at Fidelity, you need to be in your penultimate year of a university undergraduate degree and able to join us full-time for 10 weeks from June 2027.

Application process

Our recruitment process at Fidelity is strengths-based. Unlike a competency-based interview, a strength-based interview focuses on what you enjoy doing, rather than what you can already do. Questions may revolve around your passions and hobbies; things that you are proud of and that inspire you. This approach allows our team to gain an insight into your natural abilities; recognising whether you’d be a good fit for us, and also whether we’d be a good fit for you. We recommend checking our website to understand more about our recruitment process.

Culture and values

Our purpose is to work together to build better financial futures. The way we work with each other, our clients, and stakeholders is shaped by our core values of integrity and trust, and embedded through our core behaviours - being bold, brave, curious, and compassionate.

Benefits

  • Annual discretionary bonus and/or sign on bonus
  • Company pension
  • Flexible/remote working
  • Generous holiday allowance
  • Wellbeing initiatives
  • Subsidised canteen

Equity, diversity & inclusion

When you join us, you’ll find that we care deeply about creating a supportive atmosphere where everyone feels valued and free to be themselves. It’s the right thing to do. It also makes our culture richer and our business stronger.

We’ve made huge progress in terms of diversity and inclusion. We’ve created diversity & inclusion networks, made measurable increases in our workforce diversity, and evolved our people initiatives all across our organisation. And we’re committed to improving every day – finding new ways to create an environment where everyone, no matter who they are, feels like they belong.

We have set three company-wide priorities for our global Diversity and Inclusion strategy:

  • Diversity
  • Increasing the diversity of people at all levels of our organisation
  • Inclusivity
  • Strengthening our inclusive culture where everyone’s voice is heard
  • Reputation
  • Enhancing our presence with clients and communities as an inclusive company

To make sure we're able to deliver real change we're concentrating on five global priorities: Cultural Diversity, LGBT+, Enable, Gender, and Social Mobility. And we do more than talk - we act. Our activities include extensive campaign and awareness work, events, programmes, collaborations, and partnerships. Each Diversity and Inclusion priority has defined objectives incorporated into our business goals, and we use data to track progress, as well as measure and audit our performance. We hold senior leaders accountable for our Diversity and Inclusion agenda, and ensure they are driving it from the top.

We also have signed up to several initiatives, including the Valuable 500, the DWP Disability Confident scheme level, the Race at Work Charter, the Women in Finance Charter, and the UN LGBTI Standards of Conduct for Business. We want to look at ourselves objectively, using best-practice standards, and listening to thought leadership so we can continue our journey to being the most inclusive we can be.

Fidelity International is proud to be a disability inclusive employer. We work with MyPlus who support the 15% of disabled students and graduates applying for jobs, internships and placements. What does this mean?
