Job Description

Reporting to: Marketing Manager, Claire Gibbs

Salary: £24,000 per Anum

Office Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

Role Type: Full Time Hybrid role (minimum 2 days per week in the office). The occasional overnight stay away for company meetings and events.

Student Profile:

Currently in their 2nd year at university with industry placement requirement in their third year. Studying a Marketing or Business and Marketing Degree on track for a minimum of a 2:1 with confirmation from Tutor or Faculty Head.

Purpose of the role:

A 12 - 14-month Industry placement within the Companion Animal Marketing team to focus on Digital & E-commerce marketing for our Over the Counter (OTC) range of products to include Feliway, Adaptil, Douxo, Thundershirt & Logic with a collective market value >£17M.

  • To passionately champion Digital & E-commerce opportunities to strengthen and grow the portfolio.
  • To identify new marketing channel opportunities for the Ceva brands to champion to grow customer awareness and use of our market leading brands.
  • This job has a diverse and exciting range of products and needs someone with the ability to drive multiple tasks at the same time.
  • There is a need to be well organised and be able to prioritise in order to achieve a ROI where it is needed.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Assist digital Marketing Manager & E-commerce team to develop, measure and manage the delivery of:
  • Website optimisation
  • Pay per click advertising
  • Display campaigns
  • Video campaigns
  • Amazon advertising
  • Manage content for the Ceva UK websites to drive PR engagement.
  • Work closely with the Product Managers (PM) & Digital Manager to manage the brand social channels
  • Assist Product Manager & Digital Manager to ensure fully integrated digital campaigns and monitor return on investment (ROI)
  • Analyse Google analytics, Meta accounts, and other tracking software to provide insight to optimise campaigns to provide maximum ROI
  • Monitor & engage with online activity including bloggers/vloggers, online reviews and report back to PM’s
  • Compile monthly competitor activity analysis
  • Assist Digital Manager on weekly and monthly reporting for all digital activity
  • Understand the brand strategy and assist in planning and launching new products into the digital platform as required.
  • Proactively work with PR agencies to ensure materials can be used online
  • Work with the Retail & E-commerce Key Account Managers to implement campaigns though online customers
  • Proactively research digital media opportunities for brands

  • Leadership & Ability to Convince: Generate trust with Internal Partners by using active listening skills and answering their questions, in order to ensure their motivation for, and alignment with, the Vision.
  • Communication & Presentation Skills: The ability to communicate efficiently and effectively, adapting to different audiences and situations as needed.
  • Digital Advertising Knowledge: Understand the main advertising platforms and how to implement at a brand level. The ability to work with external agencies and create/optimise advertising campaigns in order to maximise results.
  • Social Media Management: Have a practical understanding of all Social Media platforms and their place within the Digital Marketing Strategy.
  • Data & Performance Analysis: The ability to, extract and share actionable information from data & analytics tools, in order to grow business and execute meaningful performance analyses.

NB: Not all individuals will have all these skills, knowledge and experience when they start in the role, but they will be supported to gain the necessary levels of skill, knowledge and experience during their time in this role to ensure that they can perform the role competently.

  • Excellent knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
  • Experience in using Canva for design
  • Good verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Highly organised and able to organise, motivate and influence others.
  • Some previous marketing work experience would be beneficial
  • Be able to travel to the office for in-person workdays (Tuesday & Wednesday)
