Job Description

Finance Data Graduate 2026 - London

Start Your Career with Our Two-Year Graduate Scheme

Join us and gain hands-on experience at M&G whilst building a deep understanding of Data within the context of Finance. Your journey starts on 14 September 2026 with a cohort-wide induction, blending industry-focused training with insight sessions led by our experienced professionals. From there, you’ll embark on a programme designed to accelerate your growth:

  • Business Rotations: Participate in structured rotations across key technologies and Finance functions. Each placement will help you build technical expertise and broaden your understanding of how our business operates.
  • Professional Qualifications: We’ll support you in studying for a qualification relevant to your role, providing dedicated study leave and resources to help you succeed.
  • Professional Skills Development: Alongside your cohort, you’ll develop essential skills via interactive workshops and self-led missions, covering topics like networking, communication, and personal brand.

To support you throughout the programme, you’ll have a manager to guide your development, a buddy for day-to-day queries, and plenty of opportunities to attend insight events and grow your network across M&G.

What will I be doing?

By joining our Finance function, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping M&G generate value for the organisation. Finance is at the heart of strategic decision-making – delivering insights, balancing stakeholder needs, and ensuring robust controls and governance to safeguard assets and enhance performance.

The successful candidate will:

  • Gain insights into how Finance supports business developments and projects, ensuring good outcomes for internal and external customers.
  • Get exposure to the latest IT systems and technologies used in Finance, learning how digital tools and AI enable efficient reporting and analysis.
  • Contribute to projects and process improvements, bringing fresh ideas, supporting data governance, and helping implement new workflows.

This is an exciting opportunity to start your career in a function that is passionate about ensuring it is a diverse department where colleagues support each other, share information and ideas, and work together towards common goals. Development is a priority where professional qualifications are supported alongside data and technology, leadership and collaboration skills.

What are we looking for?

  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to work effectively in teams and build strong relationships.
  • Analytical and critical thinkers who can form independent opinions and approach problems with curiosity.
  • A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
