Social Media Placement

Ready to make magic? We’re hiring for our 12-month undergraduate placement schemes.

By undertaking an internship in one of our Social Media Marketing teams, you will help with designing and executing best-in-class social media activity, producing captivating content, and managing editorial calendars that bring our brands to life across The Walt Disney Company social media accounts.You’ll dive into content creation, copywriting, channel scheduling and performance analysis across a mix of social platforms which could include Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Threads and YouTube.You’ll also gain hands-on experience in tracking campaign performance, building insightful reports, working on influencer activations, as well as gaining exposure to paid media campaigns. You’ll collaborate with internal teams in the UK and globally, in addition to external agencies to ensure content is created to the highest quality with the relevant approvals.

Disney Destinations International (DDI)

Working across Disney’s travel brands to bring to life the experiences of Disneyland Paris (DLP), Walt Disney World Resort in Florida (WDW), and Disney Cruise Line (DCL) holidays. You will also align with supporting the fan site programmes and working closely with social media listening activities.

Walt Disney Studios

You will contribute to campaigns and evergreen activity across iconic brands within Disney Studios (Disney, Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight Pictures) for UK social channels and markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.

Disney UK

Contribute to the running of Disney’s master brand handles including; Disney UK, Disney Family UK and Disney Club UK across all platforms. You will work with all Disney departments to best optimise their content and campaigns for a UK audience.

Disney+

Support the UK social media and influencer team in delivering standout campaigns across Disney Plus, collaborating with EMEA markets to share assets and shape creative content. Champion titles from UK Originals like Rivals and A Thousand Blows, to major US series including All’s Fair, Percy Jackson, Grey’s Anatomy, FX’s The Bear and Modern Family.Working within any of these teams will provide you with a brilliant foundation for a career in in Social Media Marketing.This is an office-based internship. 4 days working in the Hammersmith, London office with 1 day working from home (Monday or Friday).

Eligibility

  • Must be a second-year undergraduate student on a placement year course returning to study in Autumn 2027
  • Must have the right to work in the UK already in place
  • Available to start working full time from June 2026
  • Interested in the area you are applying for, whether this is through your studies, experiences, extracurricular activities or a general interest

About you

  • Passionate about social media, with a sharp eye for emerging trends and platform innovations
  • Proactive and highly motivated team player, with positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to connect with people at all levels in a professional and mature manner.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines and undertake various administrative duties.
  • Strong MS Office skills
  • Some exposure to, or interest in, learning editing platforms (e.g. Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut, Premiere Pro etc.)
  • Strong copywriting skills and attention to detail will be key to success in this role
  • Strong desire to get involved, learn and grow to embrace and make the most of this opportunity.
