About the programme

Our Regulatory Summer Internship offers you a unique opportunity to experience the breadth of regulation at the FCA. Over ten weeks, you’ll gain first-hand insight into the financial services industry, regulatory frameworks, and the vital role we play in protecting consumers and maintaining market integrity.

During your internship, you’ll begin developing core skills in judgement, engagement, self-management, and delivery. Your placement could involve supporting vulnerable consumers, conducting investigations, contributing to policy and strategy development, or supervising firms.

Your internship placement details will be shared with you before your join us, we select teams to support our interns in building skills, knowledge and experience across financial services, setting you up for success in your career with us.

You must have obtained or be on track to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree from any university

Applicants for the 2026 summer internship must be in their penultimate year of study

Internship offers are subject to candidates independently obtaining and maintaining permission to work in the UK for the full duration of both the internship and graduate scheme.
